Mr. Gottlieb was born in Columbia, South Carolina, on August 23, 1960. He received his undergraduate Business Degree and Law degree at the University of South Carolina (B.S. 1982, J.D. 1985). He was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1985.
After having worked with the Atlanta law firms of Carter & Ansley and Storey & Obenschain, Mr. Gottlieb formed the law firm of Flynn & Gottlieb, P.A. in August 1988. Mr. Gottlieb's practice centers on general commercial transactions and litigation. He has had in-depth experience in complex commercial litigation and intricate commercial transactions and real estate matters. Mr. Gottlieb handles commercial and residential loan closings on an ongoing basis, including construction and Small Business Association (SBA) loans. He represents a number of local and out-of-state lenders as well as an impressive resume of Atlanta developers, contractors, businesspeople and entrepreneurs. Mr. Gottlieb is equally comfortable advocating his clients' rights in court as he is negotiating complex issues in transactional settings. His business expertise and experience have proven invaluable to many of his commercial and business clients who often seek his counsel, while his knowledge as a litigator enables him to steer his clients away from potential legal pitfalls and deal with unfavorable circumstances.
